Deliveries of locally-made MINI Countryman by BMW will begin in June, the company said while launching the car last week. The car will me manufactured at its Mahindra World City plant near. MINI first brought the Countryman to India in 2010 and now the second-generation will be available in both petrol and diesel variants.

The two petrol variants of the subcompact crossover SUV are: MINI Countryman Cooper S and MINI Countryman Cooper S JCW Inspired. The diesel variant includes the MINI Countryman Cooper SD.
The new MINI Countryman will be available in five colours – Island Blue, Light White, Chilli Red, Melting Silver and Thunder Grey. The British Racing Green will be offered exclusively for the MINI Countryman Cooper S JCW Inspired.
The ex-showroom prices (effective June) of the three variants are:
MINI Countryman Cooper S (Petrol) : Rs 34,90,000
MINI Countryman Cooper SD (Diesel) : Rs 37,40,000
MINI Countryman Cooper S JCW Inspired (Petrol) : Rs 41,40,000
MINI was owned by British Motor Corporation but changed hands in 2000 when BMW bought it.
