Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano eruption orders compulsory evacuation

Date:

Kilauea volcano erupted in Hawaii releasing lava in a residential pocket followed by forceful evacuation of the area.

Around 5 pm on Thursday, lava was announced on the surface is Leilani Estates. The county explained the sights of the steam and lava that poured out of a crack. The estate currently accommodates about 1700 people.

Earlier in the week too, county officials had been warning the residents to empty the area which seemed to be passed off by the residents.

The eruption took place after a series of earthquakes a couple of days before the eruption. The volcano has been erupting since the last three decades now

Two emergency exits were opened to the residents for the evacuation and the roads were barricaded for the visitors and local people.
