Now recharge your phone in five simple steps through Facebook

Date:

In yet another upgrade, Facebook has begun rolling out a new feature for its Indian users, which essentially allows them to recharge their smartphones. The feature is accessible within the ‘≡’ section, which is located next to the notifications tab. The option now presents a new ‘Mobile Recharge’ option. Users will be required to choose a plan and pay for the same. The feature is currently only exclusive to Android users who are on a prepaid plan.

Prior to this, there were numerous reports that indicated Facebook’s plans of testing a new payment service in India. The payment service would be integrated within the Messenger but remain independent of WhatsApp’s payment service.
