Rajinikanth’s much awaited gangster drama has finally been assigned a release date – the movie will hit screens on June 7, confirmed Dhanush.

Kaala is produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Studios. Rajinikanth plays the titular role of a mob boss in the film which is directed by Pa Ranjith. The director actor combo last appeared in Kabali which was released on April 27 last year.
Rajini Fans are excited to see Thalaivar play the role of a gangster which helped the film garner a lot of interest. A similar role was played by Rajinikanth in Kabali (2016) which was a blockbuster.
Alongside Rajinikath Kaala also stars Nana Patekar, Samuthirakani, Eswari Rao, Huma Qureshi, Anjali Patil and Sukanya. Shooting of this film started on the 28 May 2017 at Mumbai and the teaser was released and the teaser was shared March 2018.
