Body parts of 20-year old boy found on Mumbai train tracks

Date:

Who knew that this 20-year old boy would be counting his last moments in the Mumbai train while travelling with friends for shopping? Such was his plight of planning a visit to a Masjid Bunder on April 17 2018.

Mohammed Saif Abdul Ali Shaikh was just 100 metres away from his home when this incident took place and was travelling to Masjid Bunder with two of his friends. He boarded the train with his friends Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and around 4.30 pm his body was found lying on the train tracks between Wadala and Sewree.

The patrolling staff found his mobile phone near his body through which they could trace his identity. According to the reports, it is the case of accidental death where he fell off the train although the time he was travelling was non-peak. When the police further investigated, they were told by the station master that the boy was spotted passing through the tracks of the train when this accident happened.

Shaikh was an undergraduate commerce student and was working as a sales executive in a shop in Wadala. His body was found scattered in pieces, however, the family had to wait for the final rights as all his parts were not traceable by then. Finally, in the evening his parts were found in a miserable condition and handed over to his family to perform the last rituals.
