Make your own healthy popsicle this summer

Show me a person who doesn’t love ice creams. I bet there aren’t many or maybe any. I firmly believe that Ice creams are the original comfort food that make us wait for Summers.

However, these days everyone is worried about their health and watching their health. ice creams are looked at with scare instead of delight. But, worry not. Here’s the remedy. Here are a few homemade natural popsicle recipes that will make you fight with the kids in the house for more. In fact, some are so easy to make that you can have the kids make them for you while you chill out with a book.

Lemonade Popsicle

Prep Time: 10 mins
Freeze Time: 4 hr

Fresh Lemonade Popsicles are a fun dessert recipe for kids and parents. Make this ice pops recipe with fresh ingredients for a tasty summer treat.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup lemon juice
pinch of turmeric (for color)
1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
1/2 cup milk
2 cups water

Instructions:
In a large bowl with spout mix together the lemon juice and turmeric.
Once combined add in the remaining ingredients and stir until completely mixed.
Pour mixture into a mold and then place in the sticks.
Freeze for 4+ hours or until frozen solid.

Kiwi and Watermelon Popsicle

Pure fruit pops for a guilt-free bite. Try it out for yourself.

Prep Time: 5 min
Freeze Time: 2 hr

Ingredients:
4 kiwis, peeled
3 cups of seedless watermelon
Optional (if required): Splash of water (coconut water can be used to blend up the kiwi. No water needed for the watermelon.)

Instructions:
Add the kiwi into a blender or food processor and blend until fully liquefied. For the kiwi, you can either add a splash of water or coconut milk. If you don’t have a blender or food processor, you can always mash the fruit thoroughly with a fork.
Pour the kiwi into the bottom of your popsicle molds and place in the freezer for at least an hour.
When ready, blend up all of the water melon and pour it into the popsicle molds on top of the mostly frozen kiwi.
Place the popsicle sticks into the watermelon puree and place the mold back into the freezer for at least an additional hour. Dunk into a bowl of warm water, pop into your mouth and enjoy.

Peanut Butter and Banana Yogurt Pops

A lovely creamy pop that will make your mouth water.

Prep Time: 10 mins
Freeze Time: Overnight

Ingredients:
3 bananas
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup plain yogurt
2 tablespoons honey optional and according to taste

Instructions:
Place all ingredients, except the honey, into your food processor bowl. Process until very smooth.
Taste test the mixture and add honey according to taste.
Spoon the mixture into popsicle molds and add sticks. Place in freezer and freeze. Yummy!

Strawberries and Cream Popsicle

Summer is also for Wimbledons and thus, a time for indulging in strawberries and cream. Here’s how to do it in a popsicle on a stick!

Prep Time: 10 min
Cook Time: 20 min
Freeze Time: 4 hrs

Ingredients:
3 Cups Strawberries (Halved)
1/3 Cup Honey
1 & 1/2 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
3 Tablespoons Sugar
3/4 Teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract

Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Place the strawberries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Drizzle the strawberries with honey & bake for 15-20 minutes until the strawberries become soft.
Let them cool for 10-15 minutes or till they turn to room temperature.
Once cooled, pour the honey roasted strawberries (juice & all) into a food processor, pulse blend a few times to create a slightly chunky strawberry mixture, & set aside for later.
In a chilled medium bowl, combine 1 & 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream, 3 tablespoons of sugar and 3/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract & whisk on the highest speed for 1 minute, or until stiff peeks form.
Next, layer the whipped cream and strawberry mixture into your popsicle mold, a few spoonfuls at a time, swirling with a knife or toothpick as desired.
Freeze for 30 minutes, add popsicle sticks, & then continue freezing for 3-4 hours until the Strawberries & Cream Popsicles are completely frozen.
Once frozen, remove the mold & enjoy!
