Date:

Ace Indian shuttler and former world No. 1 Saina Nehwal has issued a set of tweets expressing her anger over her father’s name allegedly being cut from the Officials list of the Commonwealth Games in Australia’s Gold Coast, which will begin on Wednesday.

Taking to the social media website, Saina, who won the gold medal at the 2010 edition of the games in New Delhi, has written:
“Surprise to see that when we started from India for commonwealth games 2018 my father was confirmed as the team official and I paid the whole amount for that but when we came to the games village … his name was cut from team official category .. and he can’t even stay with me.”

Earlier, Nehwal had posted a picture with her parents, mother Vijaya Pusarla and father Harvir Singh.

India’s contingent for the 2018 CWG comprises 326 persons, of which 218 are athletes.
