5 civilians killed in Poonch ceasefire violation

Five civilians are dead and two were injured as Pakistani troops violated ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Balakote sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district this morning.

The injured have been hospitalised.

“Due to shelling from across in Balakote sector of Poonch, five civilians have died and two are injured, who are being shifted to the hospital,” Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP), SP Vaid informed the media.

This comes a week after the Pakistan Army initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing in Rajouri’s Sundervani sector along LoC.
