PM Modi says countdown for Congress in Karnataka has begun

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday gave an hour-long speech at Palace Grounds in Bengaluru. With a powerful speech, Modi set the tone and tenor of the BJP campaign in Karnataka before the 2018 Assembly elections.

PM Modi in his powerful speech asked the people of Karnataka to make an “Anukul Sarkar” or a convenient regime to secure central government schemes which could reach the beneficiaries in the state.

“Agar Karnataka mein central schemes se phyada chahiye tho B S Yeddyurappa ki sarkar ko vote Karoor aur Anukul Sarkar baniye,” he said. (If you want central government schemes to be implemented and reach the beneficiaries then elect the B.S Yeddyurappa BJP government to power).

During his speech. Modi promised Rs One lakh crore for irrigation projects in Karnataka should Yeddyurappa is elected to power in the state. He also spoke about almost all the serious issues that are plaguing the state.

PM Modi also commented on the corruption in the state. He said, “Mujhe Kuch logo ne bathaya ki Karnataka ki Congress Sarkar 10% ki sarkar hain.” (People told me that Congress government in Karnataka was a 10 percent government).

Modi’s comments came after BJP opposition leader Jagadish Shettar alleged that the Congress government was committing 10 percent commission. The Congress gorvernment in the state are Corruption for any central government projects to be sanctioned and implemented in the state.

He also accused the Congress government is offering a safe heaven for all the mafias

PM Modi alleged that the Congress government was providing a safe haven for all the mafias in the state, including those of sand, builder, transfer and steel mafias. As an example, he cited that the corruption allegations by giving examples of the failed steel bridge project, however, it was thwarted by public protests.

While on the matter of law and order situation, PM Modi remained into the string of alleged Hindu activists murders in Bengaluru and said, “When the central government was indulging in bringing ease of business across the country, the Congress government was indulging in ease of doing murder in the state.”

The prime minister said the law and order situation has dipped to a new low and thus it was necessary for the people of Karnataka to bring “Parivarthana” by throwing out the Congress government and bringing the BJP government of BS Yeddyurappa in the state.
