A layer of fog engulfed the national capital region this morning amidst the cold wave that continues to grip north India.
As fog descended over the capital, armed forces and other personnel could be seen gearing up for practice ahead of the Republic Day.
Low visibility due to fog has also hampered train services. A total of 41 trains have been delayed, 13 cancelled and 4 rescheduled so far. Also, nearly seven flights have been delayed.
The maximum temperature today in Delhi and NCR will be around 23 degree Celsius, which may dip to as low as 7 degrees.
Meanwhile, the cold wave has intensified in Southern India as well, with a dense layer of fog engulfing Chennai.
