Another fire accident in Mumbai, this time in CinevIsta Studio

Days after a massive fire claimed 14 persons in Mumbai and another breaking out a couple of days ago in Andheri that claimed four lives, a massive fire errupted in CinevIsta Studio in Kanjurmarg around 8pm on Saturday.

According to the city administration there are no casualties and the people are being evacuated to safer places. The situation is under control.

Eight firetenders and six water tanks have been rushed to the spot. The flames have been confined to the electric wiring and the studio instruments in an area of 3000 sq ft.

On Thursday, four people, including two children, died and five were seriously injured after an upper floor of a residential building in suburban Marol caught fire.

Last week at least 14 people were killed and 55 others injured in a major fire that engulfed the Kamala Mills Compound.

Cinevista Stidio is run by Prem Kishen, son of actor Premnath. The shooting of a TV serial was learned to be going on at the time of the incident.

Cast and crew of “Bepanaah” (Colours) and “Haasil” (Sony TV) were engaged in shooting while fire incident happened. All the people were evacuated from the studio.
