Major bureaucratic reshuffle at Joint Secretary level by the government

New Delhi: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle in the government of India, at least 10 officers were appointed as Joint Secretary /Joint Secretary equivalent.

Amit Mehta, IOFS (1987) has been appointed as the Joint Secretary, Department of Consumer Affains from the date of the assumption of the charge of the post for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier vice Venkata Rama Sastry Pidaparthi, IPS (UP:1989);

Kailash K. Aggarwal, IRSE (Civil) (1987), as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Shipping, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier vice Pravir Krishna, lAS (MP:1987).

Ashish Upadhyay, lAS (MP:1989), as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Coal from the date of the assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier vice Vivek Bhardwaj, lAS (WB:1990).

Sanjay Upreti, IRAS (1990), as Financial Advisor (JS level), Border Security Force (BSF), under the Ministry of Home Affairs from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier vice V. Venugopal, IDAS (1984).

Mukhmeet Singh Bhatia, lAS (JH:1990), as Joint Secretary, Fifteenth Finance Commission under the Department of Economic Affains from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Nikunja K. Sundaray, lAS (OR:1987), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, on lateral shift basis, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of overall five years upto 31.08.2021 or until further orders, whichever is earlier vice Anil Sant, IAS (UP:1988).

Sumita Misra, lAS (HY:1990), as Joint Secretary in the PM’s Economic Advisory Council under the NITI Aayog from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Gopal Krishan Gupta, IRSME (1987), as Joint Secretray, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier vice J.N. Swain, lAS (TN:1988).

Sudhir Garg IRSEE (1986), as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure upto his superannuation on 31.05.2022 or until further orders, whichever is earlier vice Nikunja K. Sundaray, lAS (OR:1987).

Amardeep Singh Bhatia, IAS(NL:1993), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Corporate affairs as Director (JS level), Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) under the Ministry of Corporate Affains, on lateral shift basis. from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of combined seven years upto 25.03.2020 or until further orders.
