Former England skipper Alastair Cook has slammed his critics after scoring a hundred in the 4th Test against Australia at Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne. This is Cook’s 32nd Test century which came after a long time. He was seriously struggling with his form in the first three Tests as he did not even manage to cross 50-run mark in any innings.

Cook has scored 5 centuries in Ashes and all of them have come in Australia.

Beginning the day with Australia at 244 for the loss of three wickets, England roared back from the first session. They took 7 wickets by giving just 67 runs and bowled out Aussies at 327 runs.

In reply, the visitors started with a steady start but they lost Stoneman early at a score of 35 runs. After that Vince also gave the same kind of contribution like Stoneman and then got out but Cook remained strong at the crease.

He shared a 112-run stand with skipper Joe Root and both are looking determined to trail down the remaining 135 runs.

At Stumps on day 2, England are 192 runs for the loss of 2 wickets with having Cook and Root on the crease.
