Uber announces its revamped program for start-ups called UberEXCHANGE

In a breakthrough announcement propagating the advent of start-ups in India, Uber announced its new UberEXCHANGE program at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2017 in Hyderabad.

As a part of this programme, Uber will be taking 10 start-ups to San Francisco in an all-expense-paid trip. The representatives will visit Uber’s headquarters to meet their executive leadership team and be introduced to potential investors too.

Launched in 2016, UberEXCHANGE is based on the company’s mission to create a start-up ecosystem in partnership with Invest India. Uber launched this programme along with T-Hub, Telengana’s flagship start-up incubator and accelerator.

“Through UberEXCHANGE, several start-ups in India have benefitted from hands-on mentorship sessions by Uber’s global leadership team. We are looking forward to continuing this partnership to provide a platform that will help many more Indian start-ups succeed in their entrepreneurial journey,” adds Srinivas Kollipara, COO, T-Hub.

The team claims that since then, close to 150 start-ups have been mentored by Uber. The finalists are chosen through an extensive selection process.
