First impression is essential at any job interview. Here's how to ace the clothing!

The first impression you make to any employer is quiet essential as he makes his understanding about you on how you carry yourself and what you are wearing to a professional atmosphere.

Regardless of the work environment, it’s important to dress professionally for a job interview. This will help guarantee that you make a great first impression.

Dress conventionally

When it comes to dressing for an interview, avoid going overboard with loud and bright colours that can sometimes be distracting. Instead stick to basic colours such as black, white, grey, navy blue and brown.

Choose wisely

After clothes, shoes are the next important thing that portrays your personality, hence remember to choose them wisely. Always opt for some formal pairs like oxfords and brogues in classic tones of black and tan while going for an interview to come across as poised and self-assured person.

Avoid too many colours or accessories

If you are paring your attire with accessories be sure to not make it too vibrant or colourful. Keep it simple. Wear a watch along with it or any accessory you wish to just make it match with the attire.

Pick the shoes that are not too funky and match the colour of your belt.

Full sleeves shirt

Going for a light coloured full sleeves shirt with dark coloured suit or vice-versa, is the best option to wear for an interview. Opt for a full sleeves shirt as it is always more preferred by the employers as they find the interviewer is more inclined towards being a professional and is not taking anything for granted.

Choose your bottoms wisely

Now, for bottoms you can wear several styles of pants, from high waist pants to  straight pants, you should chose the ones that you can carry well. You could also go for a straight or pencil skirt that should be plain without any artifacts on it.

Be comfortable

It is extremely essential to be comfortable in what you are wearing at an interview. If you are uncomfortable, it will definitely show. You won’t be able to concentrate on giving the right answers rather you’ll be thinking about what to do to not show your discomfort.

So, as they say, be comfortable in your own skin and in the same way be comfortable in what you wear!
