Ghaziabad: Senior journalist Vinod Verma has been detained in Ghaziabad by Chhattisgarh police.
According to report, Verma who is also an executive member of Editors Guild of India was detained in connection with a case of extortion registered in Raipur, Uttar Pradesh DGP.

Reports also said that following his arrest from his Ghaziabad residence, Verma was taken to the Indirapuram police station for further questioning.
Reportedly, the former BBC journalist was arrested at 3:30 am on Friday.
