Jagan Mohan Reddy's 'YSR Kutumbam' campaign gains momentum on social media

YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy‘s ambitious campaign ‘YSR Kutumabm‘, has gathered immense support from Telugu NRIs on social media platforms.

The campaign aiming ‘door to door’ outreach was kicked off on Saturday on the 8th death anniversary of his father and the late Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Dr. YS Rajashekar Reddy.

Within hours after the launch of YSR Kutumbam in Pulivendula, the support for the campaign has been pouring in through the digital platforms of YSRCP on the party’s official Facebook page and the newly initiated page Jagananna Ki Thoduga. Nearly 28K new NRIs are connected with the party through social media platforms of which 15K through Facebook pages and 13K through party’s network of WhatsApp groups. Majority of the traffic coming in from the Gulf and USA

The NRIs have welcome Jagan’s move to open a phone line where people can directly reach out to him. During the launch event yesterday, Jagan Reddy had announced that anyone can reach out to him through a simple miss call at 91210-91210. Within 48 hours more than 8000 missed calls have come in from abroad.

“Jagananna Ki Thoduga” Facebook page which was launch just two weeks back saw a sudden surge of followers after the YSR Kutumbam launch event on Saturday. The page has now been liked by more than 30K people and has a reach of more than 5 lakhs

Nondomicile Andhraiites have expressed their desire to participate in the campaign, so giving in to their demand the party has decided to launch digital registrations too very soon

The emotional connect of the people of Andhra Pradesh to YSR is reflected on the comments made by the people when a video series of “Life story of YS Rajashekar Reddy” was posted on Jagan Ki Thoduga facebook page. One of the comments on this video says “Manchi oneanta varaku nuvu maa gundelu onetavu. Nuvu maa gundelu onetavaraku Jagan anna ke thoduga onetam” (You (referring to YSR) will be in our hearts as long as humanity lives. And until you are there we will support Jagananna)

YSRCP’s official Facebook page also went live during the YSR Kutumbam launch event to ensure that every Andhraiites living in different corner of the world gets to witnessed the launch of mega outreach campaign which will start from 11th September

Many youths from different corners of Andhra Pradesh have praised Jagan’s announcement to open village secretariat in each village where 10 youth will be given employment in each village secretariat

A large number of people not just from India but also who are residing abroad have expressed their support on Twitter. In just two hours #yrskutumbam had 3 lakh impressions

One of the important element during the launch event was the testimonial video being played where people expressed their issues being faced in Chandrababu Naidu’s government. Having seen such video being played at such an event, people have started sending in their problems on video from all corners of Andhra Pradesh. It will be soon posted on Jagananna Ki Thoduga facebook page

In a first of kind phenomenon, more than 20k people switched their Whatsapp profile photo to YSR Gurthuga
