Rape convict Dera chief Ram Rahim who showed his flamboyance attitude in his movies like MSG was dragged out of the courtroom disgracefully, as he was weeping and begging for mercy after he was sentenced 10 years of imprisonment by the court in Rohtak on Monday.

“Mujhe maaf kar do (forgive me),” “Main begunah hoon (I am innocent),” he said after the court announced the quantum of his punishment. He was then dragged out of the courtroom by the commandos.

Prisoner number 1997, Ram Rahim will be given a standard prison uniform with no special treatment for his crime. His plea of keeping his step daughter with him was turned down. He was sentenced to Rohtak’s Sunaria jail after he was convicted by the court on Friday, following which his ‘bhakts’ went on a rampage in Panchkula and Sirsa, demanding justice for their leader.

In what was seen as a massive upheaval, an ocean of people resorted to vandalizing public property – by destroying public transport, burning vehicles and even attacking the media.

 However, the strict vigilance of the police during the announcement of the quantum of his jail term ensured that there was no reported violence apart from Sirsa were reportedly two cars were burned by his supporters.
