Incursion bids by China’s PLA foiled by Indian Army in Ladakh

As the border standoff in the Doklam region near Sikkim remains in a stalemate, a major scuffle between Indian and Chinese troops involving stone pelting took place along the Line of Actual Control at eastern Ladakh.

According to reports, the confrontation between the two sides took place on the north bank of the Pangong Tso in eastern Ladakh in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The Indian Army is reported to have blocked two attempts by the Chinese People’s Liberation Army troops to enter Indian territory at Finger-4 and Finger-5 areas.

According to reports, troops from both sides suffered minor injuries from stone-pelting. The Chinese troops pulled back into their own territory after banner drills were carried out to defuse the situation.
