Game of Thrones episode leak case cracked by Maharashtra Cyber Police

Before the fourth episode of officially aired, fans had the opportunity to watch the episode a few days earlier than expected. This was thanks to a leak that originated from India. Now, in a recent development, the Maharashtra Cyber Crime Cell and Mumbai Police have jointly detected and arrested accused in Game of Thrones data leak.

Hotstar, a digital entertainment platform owned by Star India, approached the Inspector general of Police, Cyber Crime Cell after the data leak was discovered. Maharashtra Cyber Crime Cell carried out the preliminary enquiry in the case and zeroed down on the suspects.

The case was handed over to the Mumbai Police and four suspects were arrested. The suspects were employees of Prime Focus Company. The Cyber Crime Cell provided information and technical support to the Mumbai Police in apprehending the suspects. Mumbai Police is currently carrying out further investigations into the matter.
