Indian cinema is on a spree of biopics since past few years. Sportstars are now slowly taking over the scripts of movie makers. After successful biopics of Milkha Singh, MS Dhoni, and Sachin Tendulkar, now former skipper Kapil Dev is all set to get his fair share of stardom with the biopic which is going to be directed by Kabir Khan, according to the reports.

Ranvir Singh is reportedly chosen for the role of Kapil Dev, however, it’s too early to ascertain the lead of the character. The movie will focus on the revolutionary era in Indian cricket history where India won 1983 world cup under the captainship of Kapil Dev.
Ranvir Singh could be the right actor to play the character with his flamboyant attitude which is similar to Kapil Dev. He is currently busy on the shoots of Padmavati.
