Catfish usually weigh up to 40 to 50 kilograms, but this time villagers in Uttarakhand caught a fish which is believed to be weighing an estimate of whopping 125 Kg. The fish was caught illegally in the waters near Jim Corbett National Park. This river giant could be the largest catfish ever caught in Himalayan waters.

The video went viral and officials said that they could not validate the actual weight of the fish as it was already consumed by the villagers.
“The weight of the fish is unusual,” said JA Johnson of the Wildlife Institute of India in Dehradun.
Four people were charged with unauthorized fishing in the river, according to the reports.
