NDTV, a big name in news broadcasting in India has fired 70 staff members including journalists to adopt the new form of Mobile Journalism in their newsroom. NDTV has always been a quick adopter of new technology and this time they have taken the decision to cut operational cost and to also get lightning-quick reports through Mobile Journalism.

Several other news organizations have shifted to Mobile Journalism apart from NDTV in present era to increase the efficiency of a newsroom. NDTV claims to be the first news network with all the staffers trained in Mobile Journalism. NDTV also claims that it has ensured fair compensation for those employees affected by our restructuring.
NDTV was recently in the news after its founder Prannoy Roy was indicted for money laundering by the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT). The broadcaster said that the court cases cannot influence the sanctity of its newsroom.
