Nithari serial killings: Pandher, Koli convicted of murdering 20-year-old woman

Businessman Moninder Singh Pandher and his domestic help Surinder Koli accused of gruesome Nithari serial killings of children and women in 2006 have been convicted on Saturday of murdering a 20-year-old woman.

CBI special judge Pawan Tiwari held Pandher and Koli guilty of rape and murder of a 20-year-old woman and also for the destruction of evidence.

Koli is already facing a death sentence for 7 out of 16 cases probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Pandher was earlier convicted in 2009 but was later acquitted by the Allahabad high court, however, he is facing trial for the other three cases.

The Nithari Case came into limelight after the disappearance of several women and minors in Noida in 2006.

Skeletons were found outside the residence of Pandher who lived with his servant Koli, The girls were lured into Pandher’s house where they were killed after being assaulted sexually, the CBI said.
