Indian Army jawan allegedly shoots major after he restricts him from using cellphone

Amid ceasefire violations and tesnions along the India- Pakistan borders, a tragic incident took place in Uri sector of Kashmir near LoC when an Indian Army jawan shot the major on late night Monday, according to the reports.

Major Shikhar Thapa belonged to 71 Armoured Regiment allegedly pumped five bullets into the body of the Major which killed him on the spot because he restricted him to use his mobile phone and warned him about complaining this to higher rank officers.

The shots were fired from an AK-47 rifle at around 12.15 am. The mobile was confiscated after the incident and the investigation is underway, according to the officials
