200 kids evacuated in armored vehicles after Pakistan army opens fire at LoC

Children in three schools along the line of LoC in the Nowshera sector of Rajouri district were trapped on Tuesday when Pakistan army started shelling bullets on Indian posts.

“Nearly 200 children had to be evacuated to safety in bullet proof vehicles in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district,” said SSP Rajouri, according to the reports.

“Heavy shelling was reported in Bhawani, Sair and Kadali villages of Nowshera sector. Even now (5.45 pm), intense shelling is on. At least 11 students were trapped in middle school Sair and nearly 50 students at high school Sair and around 150 in high school Bhawani,” he added.

Earlier on Monday, ceasefire violation from Pakistan in Balakote and Poonch sectors resulted in a death of a minor girl and claimed the life of a soldier apart from injuring several others.

16 schools near LoC have been closed indefinitely. Thousands have been affected in the region after Pakistan violated ceasefire Bhimber Gali and Poonch sectors from 6.45 am due to ceasefire violations by Pakistan.
