“No one from Bajrang Dal manhandled anyone. We also came to know about this. We only protested against terrorism and left from there. We are not aware what happened after that,”Fringe group activism struck again when a man was assaulted by an unidentified man for not saying ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ during a Bajrang Dal protest against the Amarnath attack in Hisar.
Local police were immediately rushed to the scene of the incident to keep the law and order situation in the area under control. No complaint has so far been registered with regard to the matter.
The Bajrang Dal had planned to organize a protest near Parizat Chowk. However, according to reports, the protest leaders changed the venue and reached near a mosque at Lahoriya Chowk. The Bajrang Dal activists raised slogans of ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ and asked a Muslim youth to raise the slogan as well to which the latter refused. During the ensuing verbal exchange, an unidentified man slapped the youth and fled.
The Bajrang Dal, however denied that any member of the group had assaulted the man. Leader of the Hisar unit of the Bajrang Dal, Kapil Vats said, “No one from Bajrang Dal manhandled anyone. We also came to know about this. We only protested against terrorism and left from there. We are not aware what happened after that.”
