Pressure mounts on Lalu's son to quit as Deputy CM of Bihar

With the recent FIR by the CBI on Lalu Yadav and his kins on the charges of corruption, pressure has mounted on Lalu Yadav’s son Tejaswi Yadav to step down from the post of Deputy CM of Bihar. The grand alliance in Bihar is looking in shackles with the latest developments against Lalu Yadav.

JD(U) calling for a meeting of its legislators on Tuesday to discuss Tejaswi Yadav’s resignation from Deputy CM post, according to the reports. “ideal situation if Tejashwi himself offers to step down” said one of the JD(U) sources.

While there is a mixed reaction to the FIR by the CBI, Bihar CM, Nitish Kumar is yet to comment on the issue. JD(U) sources are indicating towards senior minister Abdul Bari Siddiqui to be made the RJD’s legislature party leader and Deputy CM, but RJD chief Lalu Yadav is most likely to reject this proposal, according to the reports
