Indian runner Archana Adhav was stripped off her gold medal in the 800m event of 22nd Asian Athletics Championship after the complaints of infringement. Sri Lanka’s Nimali Waliwarsha was declared the winner after reconsideration.

Archana hailing from Pune was accused of pushing a runner from behind before claiming victory with her personal best of 2 minutes and 2 seconds.
Archana was disqualified after the event. India then applied to reconsider, but technical officials refused, saying that it was an unanimous decision.
