Bajaj‘s popular street fighter bike Pulsar NS160 with lower capacity engine officially hit the market on Saturday at a price tag of Rs 80,000 ex-showroom price. The new NS160 shares most of its dynamic from Pulsar 150, but there are quite a few differences. The bike gets an oil-cooling system like its bigger version in NS200. The bike also has a mono shock suspension. Power and torque output are 15.5hp at 8,500rpm and 14.6Nm at 6,500rpm which is much more than Pulsar 150.

The design of the bike remains the same as NS200 with steel perimeter frame but it’s lighter in kerb weight to enhance the power and weight ratio. The tyre width has been decreased and its still unclear if Bajaj will provide dual disc option for the NS160. Gearbox has still not been revealed but it’s suspected that the NS160 has a five-speed unit like AS150.
“Today 70 percent of the sports biking segment is dominated by the 150-160cc motorcycles. The NS160 will target a fast-growing segment of customers who want to stay in this cc band but need the best in technology and performance,” said Bajaj Auto Vice President after launching NS160.
The bike has been launched at the price of Rs 80,694 ex-showroom price, Mumbai.
