The Punjab govt transferred 31 IAS (Indian Administrative Service) and 19 PCS (Punjab Civil Service) officers last week with immediate effect. Around 62 SP (Supretendant of Police) rank officers were also transferred in the massive bureaucratic shuffle in Punjab.

According to the ordeal issued by the Punjab government, Various posts will now be held by these IAS officers, G Vajralingam (ACS) technical education and industrial training, Himmat Singh Chief Secretary of food processing, DP Reddy (ACS) cooperation. SK Sandhu is now ACS, higher education and languages. Viswajeet Khanna (ACS) social security and development of women and children among several others.
Two new IPS officers Sukhminder Singh Maan and Iqbal Singh are given AIG of special branch, operations, crime and Information cell respectively.
