Dassault Aviation and Reliance Defence build cooperation in Indian aerospace industry

Date:

Dassault Aviation along with its key partner Reliance Defence hosted 200 delegates from the aerospace industry to promote cooperation and interactions between French and Indian aerospace manufacturers.

The business to business event was held in cooperation with Thales, Safran, MBDA and was attended by delegates representing over 60 Indian companies and 25 French companies. The event aimed to deepen existing links, create collaborative opportunities and build a self-sustained defence manufacturing ecosystem in India.

The development of a complete supply chain will allow the completion of the existing Rafale contract obligations, which represent 50 percent of the total amount of the acquisition contract for 36 Rafale aircraft. The Dassault Reliance Aerospace Limited will be part of the planned aerospace park in Nagpur and plans to develop an indigenous value added supply chain. Completion of these obligations will build a strong base for the successful induction of Rafale aircraft in the Indian Air force under the “Make in India” initiative.

As part of this cooperation between Indian and French companies, Indian partners will benefit in a unique way from the technological transfer opportunities while thousands of Indian engineers and technicians will benefit from a massive skills transfer opportunity.
