Western railway to start test of Mumbai’s first air conditional Electrical Multiple Unit this monsoon. Unfortunately, it will not be accessible to the commuters in this rainy season.
The general manager of WR section of Mumbai railways said “There will be 25 tests which will be carried for 4 months before flagging of the EMU in western railway line”, according to the reports.

The EMU will be introduced between Churchgate-Borivli and Churchgate-Andheri sections and the train is feasible up to 12 services per day, according to the sources.
The EMU arrived at Mumbai from Chennai in November 2016.
