Tottenham set historic unbeaten run at White Hart Lane

Date:

Tottenham Hotspur equalled a club record as they ended their final season at White Hart Lane unbeaten at home for the first time in 52 years.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have enjoyed a memorable campaign and provided their fans with the perfect send-off from the Lane with a 2-1 victory over Manchester United.

That was a 14th successive home win in the Premier League for Spurs and it matched the club record which was set 30 years ago.

In addition to that winning streak, the success over United ensured Spurs posted an unbeaten home record in the league for the first time since the 1964/65 campaign.

The only teams to have taken points from Spurs at the Lane this season were Liverpool in August and last season’s champions Leicester back in October. Both of those games finished 1-1.

Goals from Vincent Wanyama and Harry Kane, with his first against United, also confirmed Spurs will finish second in the Premier League table behind champions Chelsea.
