JNU student’s rap against the Vice Chancellor goes viral

Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is one of the prime government universities of the country. JNU has also been in several controversies due to clashes, unrest and what not. Rahul Rajkhowa has taken a different approach to present his concerns by the art of rapping.

The video is gaining popularity with more than 22000 views in just 4 days. The rap is composed by Rahul Rajkhowa is about the recent 80% seats cut in MPhil and PhD. Rajkhowa has just finished his Masters in International relations from the university.




While the protest was being carried out by students against it, Rajkhowa took his voice and composed a rap which questions the validity of VC in JNU. He term Vice Chancellor as incompetent who lacks decision-making skills. He also asks about the disappearance of JNU student which is yet to be solved.

He decided to do this after witnessing a huge disappointment from his fellow batchmates who just left back home due to this decision.

“So many students from poor background come and study in JNU. They are very curious about gaining knowledge and if JNU makes them hopeless, they go back empty handed to their same old life”. he said in an interview.

This is not the first time he has taken the youtube to raise his concerns, earlier he made a video and sand about discrimination against people from North Eastern states of India.
