Arvind Kejriwal’s Kapil Mishra show: Day 2 LIVE Updates

Amid major rift in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) following corruption allegations by Kapil Mishra against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the Tanker Scam, Mishra bid a visit to Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday.

Kapil Mishra elaborated on his allegations against Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain and claimed that he would soon go to jail.

04:00 pm: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislator Kapil Mishra on Monday submitted documents to the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) to back his allegations that Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal had delayed the probe into a Rs 400 crore tanker scam.

03:05 pm: ACB chief Mukesh Meena has reached the Delhi LG office for a briefing on the Kapil Mishra bribery allegations

02:33 pm: Now, Kapil Mishra arrives at CBI headquarters in Delhi to lodge a complaint in the water tanker scam.

1:15 pm: Senior AAP leaders addresses press conference:

11.57am: Kapil Mishra says he will now go to the CBI to submit proof in the case.

11.54am: Mishra tells reporters that he is ready to take the lie-detector test and that the chief minister should also undergo the test to come clean.

11.52am: After coming out of ACB office Mishra said:

“I have submitted information on water tanker scam. Have submitted info as a witness and complainant. Have given info how investigation into tanker scam was repeatedly delayed, how some officials tried to cover up and how even taking the case against Sheila Dikshit was suppressed. I have given the names of Ashish Talwar and Vibhav kumar.” On allegations of bribery on Kejriwal and Satyendra Jain he says he will soon submit a complaint on it as well.

11.30am: BJP leader Shyam Jaju says people should welcome the disclosure made by kapil Mishra as it shows the true character of the AAP front runners.

“Whatever kapil Mishra has said is just a flash. He has given some proof to the LG some he has kept with himself and he will soon give all the proof to the CBI. I believe that we all should welcome this. Kapil Mishra submitting proof to the L-G is enough to show the true character of the AAP frontrunners,” he added.

11.20am: Water minister Satyendra Jain, accused by Mishra of giving Rs 2 crore to the chief minister, has had having frequent run ins with the enforcement agencies over allegedly amassing illegal assets and money laundering. Read: I-T attaches Jain’s Rs 33cr assets

11.12am: Kapil Mishra reaches ACB office in Civil Lines to meet Delhi ACB chief MK Meena. Mishra says he will speak after the meeting. Reports also say Mishra is ‘willing to take’ lie-detector test.

11.05am: Kapil Mishra was, in August 2015, removed as the law minister days after he wrote to Kejriwal recommending an FIR against former CM Sheila Dikshit in the alleged water tanker scam. Read: From being AAP’s face to letting it down

10.50am: Mishra had made the allegations against Kejriwal at Rajghat, from where India Against Corruption and AAP had started their anti-graft crusade. The accusation is the latest in a string of troubles that has engulfed the ruling AAP, after its defeat in the city’s civic election and the assembly polls in Goa and Punjab. 10.41am: L-G office confirms that Kapil Mishra’s complaint has been forwarded to ACB. Officials at the anti-corruption body, however, say they are yet to receive it.

10.35am: BJP’s Delhi chief Manoj Tiwari takes to twitter asking chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and health minister Satyendra Jain to face action over corruption charges levelled by their former cabinet colleague.
