Rats drank a huge amount of seized liquor in one of the most bizarre incidents that occurred in the dry state, Bihar. Around astonishing 9.15 lakh of domestic and Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) was seized after the liquor ban that started in April 2016 in the state, according to the reports.

The liquors storage cells called “Malkhana” were infested by the rodents over the years and an immense amount of alcohol was consumed and destroyed. The Police is now looking for the alternative ways to deal with seized alcohols to destroy it.

“We have asked Patna zonal IG to inquire into the matter. Based on his findings, the state police headquarters would initiate further action,” additional director-general of police (Headquarters) SK Singhal said in a report.
