The new rule of waiving off registry fee on registration of property in the name of women is an Initiative taken by the state government for promoting Women Empowerment in Jharkhand.

“For any immovable property purchased in the name of a woman, no registration and stamp fee will be charged. Only Re 1 token stamp money will be taken,” said an official in a press conference.
The decision was taken by land and revenue department in a meeting in the presence of chief minister Raghubar Das.
The Land and Revenue department also aims yo digitalize the maps and the department claims that online registry system is fully functional in the state.
