Snapchat denies CEO Evans “India is poor” remark

Snap, Snapchat‘s parent company’s attorney said CEO Evan Spiegel never said “The app is only for rich people. I don’t want to expand into poor countries like India and Spain,” according to the reports.

His attorney added that it was the work of an ex-employee who knows nothing about the metrics of the company.
Snapchats attorney said this rumour is just a work of ‘disgruntled employee fired for poor performance’.
CEO, Evan Spiegel alleged remarks surfaced all around in the mainstream media and people all over places were outraged because of this.

It also affected the ratings of the app and it dropped straight from 4.4 to 3.6 in just one day in android’s play store. One star rating increased from 39000 to 192000 overnight.
