Badrinath ki Dulhania
The Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania duo is back to share the silver screen with their latest release Badrinath ki Dulhania. Acted by Aalia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan and directed by Shashank Khaitan, this Karan Johar film also features Sahil Vaid, Aakanksha Singh, Gauahar Khan, Shweta Basu Prasad. The pair of Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan is refreshing as ever, while their chemistry on screen is sparkling, their characters are entertaining.
The story revolves around a plot where Alia Bhatt plays the character ambitious girl Vaidehi who wants much more than just a pretty lehenga unlike Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya. On the other hand, Varun Dhawan is playing the character of Badrinath who wants make Vaidehi fall in love with him by any means. The movie sends a very strong message in an interesting way.
This Karan Johar production is colourful, enjoyable, romantic and also delivers an important message. 90’s chartbusters like Tamma Tamma gives the movie an extra edge and makes the movie refreshing for the audience.
Kong: Skull Island
Despite stunning visuals and a stellar cast which includes Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson and Samuel L Jackson, director Jordan Vogt-Roberts’ King Kong movie can’t settle on a consistent tone.
“Kong” gets its creatures right, the rest is a bit choppy. It unfolds in the waning days of the Vietnam War and is fashioned after classic Vietnam movies The movie is a mixture of politics, messaging and monster matinee thrills never quite meshes. Kong is quite impressive in stature, and his roar is appropriately intimidating.
But still “Kong: Skull Island” proves yet again that size matters, but it’s not the only thing that matters.
