Two jawans missing after avalanche hits army camp

Two soldiers are missing after an avalanche hit an army camp in Kashmir’s Gurez . Rescue operations have been launched.

An army officer was killed and four other soldiers injured on Wednesday when an avalanche hit a camp in Ganderbal district. Four of a family died after their house was buried under the snow in Bandipora district, said officials.
The army said a major died while four soldiers were rescued alive from under snow and are being treated.
