India reached the mammoth in the second day of the ODI series against England with a 15-run win at the Barabati Stadium on Thursday. The charismatic partnership by Yuvraj Singh and Mahendra Singh Dhoni had set a target of 382 under the captaincy of Virat Kohli. However, thanks to brilliant centuries by England stayed in the hunt till late into their innings.

Fans were yet to settle down when India skipper Virat Kohli was walking back to the pavilion disappointed. Yuvraj Singh walked in. India were 22 for two in the third over. Into the fifth over, the other 35-year-old in this crop of young India, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, joined the left-hander in the middle. Virendra Sehwag gave the applaud and took to twitter saying;
This man has defeated Cancer.
Today,he only defeated the English bowlers.Everyone can learn not to give up.

This was Yuvraj’s 14th ODI century and almost surely one of the most important he has played, not just for the team but also for his own reinstatement in the side. He was eventually dismissed for a score of 150.
Bulk of the credit for this match-winning partnership should go to Dhoni. He took strike to Chris Woakes and kept offering him the dead bat. Yuvraj Singh, initially finding it difficult to gauge the pace of the wicket, got time to settle down.
That is 4000 ODI runs for @msdhoni in India, only the second batsman after @sachin_rt to get to that milestone #INDvENG @Paytm #TeamIndia pic.twitter.com/BjYlSvriUU

Kohli’s estimate was quite accurate, as was seen at the Barabati Stadium when both Yuvraj and Dhoni both came good in the middle order and kept India on the rails to try and seal off the ODI series in Cuttack itself.
What A Match!!
