5.3 magnitude earthquake strikes India-Bangladesh border region

Agartala: An earthquake with a 5.5 magnitude on the Richter Scale hit Tripura, near the India-Bangladesh border.

While the epicentre was near Ambassa, about 60 km from Agartala, tremors were felt in Bangladesh, Myanmar and Bhutan.

According to reports, Shakings were also spread across Assam and the Northeastern region.

So far, no cases of injury or damage have been reported.
