Tesla’s Autopilot predicts a crash seconds before it happened

Date:

So many issues were raised against Tesla’s autopilot technology earlier this year after it struck a car failing to spot the contrast between a white truck and the colour of the sky. But Tesla is continuously operating on it to make it better, reliable and more precise.

Earlier in September, Tesla released Autopilot 8.0 which sport on the radar system instead of the cameras like before.

The key point of the radar based system is that the autopilot can hold the track of the car going ahead and this dashcam video below explains how brilliantly it operates in the real life circumstances. The video was caught on the dashcam of a Tesla Model X on a highway in the Netherlands.

In the video, it can be understood that Tesla’s Autopilot started the forward collision warning about two seconds before the car in front crashed into the black SUV going ahead of it.
