Renault discontinues Fluence and Koleos in India?

Speculation of Renault discontinuing it’s two models Fluence and Koleos in India is on the high as French auto giant has removed the two cars from their official India website.

Amid this move, Renault’s Duster has now become the most expensive car with the price tag increasing up to Rs 13.78 lakh.

According to market reports, both the vehicles aren’t doing so well for Renault in India. Fluence being an executive sedan is already on a low demand and moreover, there are many other successful names in the segment such as Toyota Corolla and Hyundai Elantra.

On the other hand, The Koleos never attracted consumer’s attention being in the battle with big performers like the Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour.

Renault is now concentrating on magnifying the achieved success by the popularity of the Kwid and Duster in India. The Company stated that they desire to put in at least 80% local content in big cars to decrease cost and get volume in India.

Fluence and Koleos are not totally manufactured in India and imported as semi-knocked down (SKD) form and assembled here.
