The opposition is united against the government against its Demonetisation move. Parliament failed to function smoothly since the beginning of the Winter Session as opposition demands Prime Minister Narendra Modi to speak on note ban in the upper house.
‘No liquor shops along highways,’ says Supreme Court
The Supreme Court on Thursday prohibited liquor shops on highways from April. The license of existing shops will not be renewed.
The apex court said that Liquor shops need to be at least 500 metres away from state and national highways and asked to remove liquor banners and ads.
