Demonetisation: CRPF personnel who survived five bullets shots himself after failed attempts at ATMs

Demonetisation, which is said to be a revolutionary move tackle black money in the Indian economy, comes with full share of issues.

People have been standing in never-ending queues in a bid to withdraw cash to go about their daily business which has made life of common people nothing less than a misery.

Recently, Rakesh Chand from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), who survived 5 bullets to the chest in a terror attack in Kashmir back in 1990, shot himself dead after he allegedly failed to get cash from the ATMs.

Rakesh stood in line at SBI’s Tajganj branch, Agra every day but saw no success.
After the incident, Rakesh’s son, Sushil Kumar came forward and explained his father’s urgent need for cash.

“My father urgently needed money for the treatment of his Herat condition. He used to receive a monthly pension of Rs 15,000 of which he needed Rs 6,000-7.000 for Doctor’s visit ans medicines.”

Rakesh Chand’s heart condition was a result of the 5 shots to his chest. Sushil Kumar also said that his father wanted to start treatment for depression since he had been feeling quite low due to money problems in the household.

Well, it’s very sad to see good men in the country losing their lives due to poor execution of a revolutionary idea
