The official launch of Maruti Suzuki’s much-awaited premium hatchback crossover Ignis was delayed several times due to various reasons but now it appears like Maruti Suzuki is finally uprooting their stockings up to deliver the crossover in the country. Ahead of the certain launch on 13th January 2017, Ignis has grabbed its position on the official website of Nexa Experience.
Maruti Suzuki will install the crossover in the premium space and it will be marketed through company’s awarded dealership network Nexa Experience.
Ignis will be put under the Vitara Brezza in Maruti’s portfolio and there won’t be any close contenders of the vehicle except the Mahindra KUV100 which is being much predicted by the young generation.

Maruti-Suzuki Ignis is a big compact hatchback measuring 3700 mm in length, 1660 mm in width and 1595 mm in height added with a 2435 mm long wheelbase. It also sports a decent 180 mm high ground clearance which always embraces on the Indian road.
Under the hood, the Ignis is supposed to hold the 1.2L K-series petrol engine which is currently seen on the Baleno that makes 83bhp of power and 115Nm of torque and a 1.2-litre diesel engine which delivers 74bhp of power and 190Nm of peak torque.
In order to entertain the performance lover customers, Maruti might attach the 1.0-litre boosterjet engine alternative for the crossover later.
