Aiming to serve its users the experience of instant access to TV apps. Cupertino tech giant Apple has launched a new iOS single sign-on tool to log in to cable or satellite-TV provider over iPhone, iPad, iPod or Apple TV.

“The new feature is available in the US only and can be used on CenturyLink Prism, DirecTV, Dish, GVTC, GTA, Hawaiian Telcom, Hotwire, MetroCast, Sling,” Apple declared.

Even if your cable provider carries single sign-on, there still might be apps that the user needs to open and sign in to individually.

The user can sign in with only one TV provider at a time from their Apple TV running tvOS 10 or latest versions or from iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch having iOS 10 or later versions, the company said.
