When this family ‘hijacked’ Jet Airways flight

Date:

A ruckus was witnessed inside the aircraft when the Jet Airways flight 9W7083 flying from Mumbai to Bhopal was ‘hijacked’ by an ‘influential’ family.

According to reports, there were around 80 people who were flying to Bhopal for a wedding ceremony. 17 out of 80 people showed up late to the airport which ended in the cancellation of their bookings delivering other passengers preferences. Apparently, these 17 people were able to cross through the security check and boarding gates even after their tickets were not confirmed.

All the 80 people then chose to threaten Jet Airways officials, urging them to take all 17 passengers onboard & denied to travel without them.

Later the airlines decided to cancel the tickets of passengers onboard to provide seats for the remaining 17. The airlines also granted financial incentive to the passengers who got affected by this ‘adjustment’ just because the Gujarati family of 80 was associated with a ‘powerful’ minister.

After an hour of continuous argument, five people decided to get off the plane, receiving Jet Airway’s ‘bribe’of Rs.10,000.

The pilot also announced that the Bhopal airport was scheduled to close at 9 AM for renovation purposes, but the Gujarati family was hell-bent on travelling together keeping back the complete flight. During all this unnecessary turmoil, there were passengers who were experiencing this debate just because of an adamant family linked with political support.
